Use the LinkSafe featured AxioTAPs for your redundant networks.
Critical network links configured in redundant fail-over schemas provide an additional challenge to management operations in the deployment of network security monitoring. The issue is "How does the redundant hardware (typically switch or router) recognize that the network link opposite the monitoring device tap and has failed?" This is critical to the integrity of the network. Link integrity information needs to be delivered so traffic can be rerouted and reestablished with the least amount of delay. LinkSafe featured AxioTAPs detect link failure on either network side, drop the other link immediately to allow the router to route traffic to its redundant port. Upon link availability, the AxioTAP reestablishes the primary link, all without user intervention.
