AxioTAP™ Deployment Configurations
Typical AxioTAP deployment is on any critical network link between two networking devices like a router or firewall and a switch, or between two switches, etc. A single link between two devices is replaced with two; the first from the device to the AxioTAP, and the second from the AxioTAP to the second device. The AxioTAP provides an output which copies or mirrors the data flowing between the two network devices. The AxioTAP will not interrupt the network connection during a power failure. Even if the AxioTAP were to lose power, network traffic will continue to pass through the AxioTAP unimpeded.
